What is a Socialist?

Socialism gets a bad rap. We have been propagandized into thinking it is something horrible! The Soviet Union, an experiment in Socialism run amok, gave real socialism a bad name! A real socialist just wants everybody to have an equal life. Why should any person who works not live well? I say, "A chicken in every pot! Nobody gets two houses until everybody gets one!" Do you really want a doctor to operate on you knowing that the only reason she became a doctor was to make a lot of money? I'd rather have a doctor who wants to be a doctor to help people, no matter what the pay is!

Socialism and Soviet Communism are NOT the same. Nine out of ten people in this country BENEFIT by socialism. Ever hear of Social Security, Workman's Compensation, Unemployment Insurance, Public Transportation, etc. Guess who the one is that doesn't benefit? THE RICH GUY. He lives by the Golden Rule... He who has the gold, makes the rules! Have you ever seen a poor government official?

The best form of government is a combination of Capitalism and Socialism. That is what the United States has. A purely capitalistic government would ignore the poor and needy. They would be allowed to die in the streets of disease and starvation. A purely socialistic government would have one class of people all living the same safe, boring existence. Capitalism encourages competition and competition leads to innovation. Socialism provides equality of living standards. The question is how to distribute the wealth of our nation and still maintain our financial superiority. Government uses taxation to redistribute resources. Right now the line is drawn too low on the economic scale. The rich are allowed to be too rich and too many people who work and contribute to society are allowed to suffer for them. We must find better ways to help those who work but still do not have enough, while still giving the rich enough to satisfy their greed. The Republicans have made low income people worse off.

Who wants to be sick? If you do get sick remember there are three classes of care; none, basic, and for the rich. The middle class is so busy kissing rich peoples' asses and thinking they might have a chance to be rich that they short change themselves their whole lives! If everybody was rich then a loaf of bread would cost $1000 and nobody would be rich. People don't get it. Only a very small percentage of people can be rich. It's time we ganged up on them and helped everybody else! Workers unite!

I work five days a week and I come home tired every day. I have health care but I can't afford the 20% that I have to pay. So I'll just have to wait until I'm very sick and check into the emergency room which is covered 90%.

The rich have the majority of us brainwashed. They control the media and anyone who doesn't agree with them is a radical socialist! That's bad right? Wrong! Let me drop some names on you: Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Jesus. All good radical socialists; all murdered.
