43, 44, What's the Difference?

Barack Obama is to be the 44th President of the United States in just six days! There is a lot of excitement, mostly good and some bad, about this event. Some predict that as many as 5,000,000 people (my guess is 2,000,000) will be in Washington, D.C. to witness this historic event. But those attending will not witness the 44th President being sworn, they will be seeing the 43rd President being sworn in.

The way Presidents are counted, Obama is the 44th President but he is actually the 43rd person to be President. One man was counted twice! Grover Cleveland was the 22nd and the 24th President. I don't think this will turn the world upside-down, but it is a fact.
