O!  O!  O!  OBAMA!

President Barack Obama.  That is great to be able to say!  I am soo happy I could cry.  Wait a minute.  I did cry.  I can breathe again.  This is a new beginning for our people and our country!  My greatest hope is that Barack can bring us together and make our country and the world better for all.

Every day Barack goes to work in the Oval Office is like a baseball player stepping up to the plate with the bases loaded.  The opportunities to score are enormous while at the same time so are the opportunities for failure.  All we need every day is base hits, although grand slams are always the best.  Just keep making contact and bringing those runners home!

People say that he has an easy road because of the Democrat's domination of the House and Senate but what you must realize is that he has the leadership in those bodies to contend with.  They are not going to simply say, "Yes, Mr. President."  When he asks for legislation to be passed.  They are going to fight and contend every step of the way because they will have "better" ideas.  And those few votes in the Senate that the Democrats need to eliminate a filibuster on any issue will come at a cost.  Republicans will not just hug Obama and the Senate Democrats and vote their way for the sake of unity.  They will block and posture and blame the Democrats for not being able to get anything done.

Let the politics continue.  There is no easy road for our new President.  He will be required to work hard every day to be a successful President.  And if the job doesn't kill him...

I love Barack Obama and I hope and pray that history will remember him as not just our first Black President but one of our best Presidents.  He steps to the plate.  Here comes the pitch...
