SHUSH! Don't Say Landslide!

As I look at the 2008 Presidential Race, I can see the election turning out as a landslide for Barack Obama or a narrow victory for John McCain. All the possibilities are for an Obama victory except one. The exception is if McCain wins all the current swing states and the polls are wrong in New Hampshire, as they were in the Democratic primary where Hillary won when Obama was favored. If Obama loses New Hampshire but wins Colorado, it is a tie, which is as good as a win as the Democratic Congress will decide the election.

If the polls are right and the vote were today, Obama would win in the Electoral College 375 to 163. That is a landslide. Shush! Barring a game-changing event, like a terrorist attack or an Obama scandal, I see the result as 307 to 231, NOT a landslide. There, no jinx!
