Praying For Rain

I saw a story about some Pastor who wants the Democrats, and especially Obama, to fail. He and his congregation prays for rain on the last day of the Democratic National Convention that will be held outdoors in 70,000 seat Invesco Field in Denver. They belive that their faith and God's will can influence the weather. My personal belief is that God doesn't take sides on Earth, but these people do. What does it say to them that the weather forecast is "Sunny and 76 degrees?" How do they reconcile being wrong? I pray that they will realize that they have been misguided by their Pastor and they should all vote for Obama because God clearly favors him.
