Everybody Has To Take A Crap

I just read a comment, by some ignorant person, about Congress wasting its time on reducing the cost of our U.S. coins by changing the metal composition.  The legislation could save $100 million dollars each year.  That person seemed to think that Congress has better things to do.  That person is right, but that does not mean Congress should drop the more mundane tasks it performs.  I have better things to do than brush my teeth but that doesn't mean I shouldn't take the time to do so.

The main problem with Congress is the same as the problem with this country, we are split right down the middle between Democrats and Republicans.  Congress can't get the least bit controversial legislation passed because, even though the Congress has a technical Democrat majority, the Senate requires 60 votes so that the other side can't filibuster.  On a good day the Democrats have 51 votes.  Senators can spend all the time they want taking a crap.  At least they are getting something done.
