Lincoln Was No Lincoln

There is an argument against Barack Obama because of his lack of experience and it is justified if you believe that experience in Washington is a plus for a presidential hopeful.  Personally I don't buy it and anyone who does must vote for McCain.

Before being President, Lincoln had experience in the Illinois State Legislature and one term in the U.S. House of Representatives.  He won the nomination based on his ability to speak and inspire the People.  Sound familiar?  What made Lincoln, Lincoln?  Being President.

As much as we want to believe that the President knows it all and does it all by himself, he doesn't.  The President leads the Executive Branch of our Federal Government.  He has a Cabinet of advisors that run all the departments and they are chosen by the President with the aid of a team of advisors including very experienced Washington insiders.  Cabinet members are the experts that the President relies on to get things done.  President Bush's administration has over 30,000 employees!  Does the President have the weight of the country on his shoulders?  Yes.  Does he work alone?  No!

BEING PRESIDENT IS NOT ABOUT EXPERIENCE, IT IS ABOUT JUDGMENT!

Obama will choose his Cabinet from the best of the best.  He will listen to his Cabinet and he will make the final decisions.  Obama came from the People.  He has fought for the less fortunate.  He believes in bringing people together through compromise.  He believes that war is truly the very last resort.  He can be a great President.
