I'm Lucky, You're Not, So Screw You!

Pure capitalism is the most cruel system of economics in the world.  If this country had no social programs there would be rotting corpses in the street.

People who get fatal or life-altering diseases are the unluckiest people in the world and deserve free and unlimited health care.  Why should their bad luck be such a burden that in many cases it causes financial ruin and in some cases, death.

Rich people get better health care than poor people.  We need to get the major insurance companies out of health care.  They care too much about profits and not enough about people's health.

Every American deserves the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and being sick precludes that.

Every American should be required to get at least a semi-annual checkup by a doctor and a dentist.

All drugs should be legalized or alcohol and tobacco should be illegal.

We need to have a health care system that works the same for everyone.  It should be free after taxes.  And I mean free, no deductibles, no co-pays, they are a tax on the poor.

A guy actually said to me the other day, "I'm healthy but I have to pay for all those dumb sick people."  Yes, he said "dumb."  It was a real Scooby-Doo moment for me.
