The Picard Maneuver

In Star Trek the Next Generation, the Federation uniform shirt was tight fitting and as the actor moved it tended to ride up on the torso.  Straightening the shirt to keep it wrinkle free for the camera was constantly required.  Grasping the shirt with both hands at the waistband and pulling it down it a quick, single pulling motion was called the Picard Maneuver after Captain Picard, Enterprise captain, played by Patrick Stewart.

I am reminded of this on a daily basis since I have to wear a uniform shirt at work.  We are not allowed to tuck the shirt in and it rides up on me constantly.  Every time I pull it down I think of Picard.
