Forget the Constitution

Forget the Constitution, It's a Time of War!

This is a load of crap! If today we are in a "Time of War", then we have always been in a "Time of War"! Why don't we just let the government declare martial law and make President Bush dictator! Honestly, does anyone think that the "War on Terror" will ever end? And if it will never end, when will this "Time of War" ever end? Terrorism is CRIME; Organized Crime! Crime has always existed and will never be wiped out! We cannot live in a true state of war with criminals. We can call it a war but it is not a true war. The President and our government cannot use this as an excuse to, in even the slightest way, curtail our freedom. And We the People must not give in to those in the government or anyone else that would use this situation to scare us into believing that curtailing our freedom is necessary!

I feel like a broken record on this subject, but it is soo important!

Both wars in Iraq were real wars. The first one was justified because of the occupation of Kuwait. The second one was an unjustified attack on a sovereign power, whether we liked their government or not was not a reason to strike. The second Iraq War ended years ago. What it is now is a "Police Action." That is exactly what we were told the Viet Nam War really was by our government. That turned out good, didn't it? You can't Americanize any people at the point of a gun!

It would be nice to think that the "Surge" will be successful. I hear the President's supporters say, "If we pull out now, it will be a disaster!" I ask, "How long should we stay there so it will not be a disaster when we pull out?" Let's say we are doing some good now. A year from now, two years from now, are the Sunnis and the Shiites going to stop hating and killing each other because we stayed and got more of our people killed? NO! Their war is hundreds of years old and it will continue. BY KILLING SADDAM AND HIS REGIME WE GAVE THE SUNNIS AND THE SHIITES THE FREEDOM TO FIGHT THEIR WAR IN THE OPEN! Pulling out in two years or next week, the consequences will be the same.

PLEASE BRING OUR PEOPLE HOME NOW!
