Pardon Me, Mr. President

President Ford passed away. He was an appointed Vice-president and became President when Nixon resigned. I was there watching. I don't remember one important thing he did, except that he pardoned Nixon.

I don't have much to say about Ford. He probably did the right thing by pardoning Nixon. I'll bet it saved us all a lot of tax dollars. I'll also bet that Nixon would have gone to prison for obstruction of justice. That may have been a good thing. Maybe all presidents need the fact that they could go to prison hanging over their heads to keep them honest.
