Fall Has Fell... Cool!

I couldn't be happier that the Autumn has finally arrived! It is about a month late! I actually had to turn on the heat in my apartment last week. I needed to use a blanket. I like to snuggle under my covers. You can't do that when you're sweating. Well, you can, but it just makes you hotter.

The outside temperature is nice now but I need to complain about something. What will it be? I know... the lack of daylight. It is dark when I go to work and it is dark when I go home. When the sun is out for those few hours each day, I can't see it. I work in a room with no windows. I will probably be ready to commit suicide by February! Just kidding, I get to see sunlight at lunchtime and weekends.

Instead of Daylight Saving Time, Congress should make a law that all Americans can work one less hour per day for the same total paycheck. Then we can possibly have a chance to see the sun every day. Plus we'll all have more time for Christmas shopping, at least those of us who actually have any money.

By the way, on the first day of Winter my Mom used to recite a poem she picked up in her youth:

Spring has sprung,

Fall has fell,

Now Winter's here,

And it's cold as Hell!
