Tanka. You're welcome.

I had some fun with the Japanese poem style called Haiku. That type of poem is very short and consists of three lines 17 syllables arranged 5, 7, 5. I just learned of an older style of Japanese poem called Tanka. It is 31 syllables; 5, 7, 5, 7, 7.

Haiku

Rain beats on the Earth.

Rain seems so active; busy.

But it does not strive..

Tanka

I saw someone new.

She was very beautiful.

I hoped she'd see me.

I stood tall and proud for her.

She took no notice of me.
