Yay!  He's Dead!

One of the terrorist leaders was killed in Iraq the other day when we dropped two big bombs on the house he was in.  The guy was responsible for many horrible acts of violence and murder.  He, like all murderers, disserved to die for his crimes.  My problem is being happy about killing people, even bad ones.  I don't want to be an executioner and I'm certainly never going to be happy about killing people!

Besides the fact that this man was killed, there is the question as to whether or not it did any good.  Please remember that terrorism is crime and when one criminal is eliminated there is always someone to take his place, unless the entire network is destroyed.  I fear that someone will just take his place and continue the fight.  And what's worse is that they may be even more resolute now that they have a new martyr!  Every time we bring a terrorist to justice our focus simply changes to the next bad guy while more new terrorists are born driven by our actions.  So don't cheer too loud.

I don't have a solution to this whole Middle East problem.  It seems though that a thousand years of violent conflict have not solved it.  The only violent solution that I can think of is to kill every last person over there.  Just kill everybody and all the questions about what to do become moot.  Okay, we can't do that.  So let's do the next best thing.  Leave!  Stop buying oil or trading in any way with them.  Limit our interaction only to countries and peoples that truly respect our beliefs and way of life.  The time of hypocrisy is over!  Yes, it will cost us a lot of money, but it will save our lives and, more importantly, our souls!
