It's Called Illegal For a Reason

There were big rallies all over the country today about immigration. There were an estimated 400,000 people in downtown Chicago today. Something has to be done about this and I don't know exactly what to do. Thousands more border guards? A really big wall? Share the wealth?

I do know this, it's called illegal immigration because it is against the law. It is bad to reward lawbreaking. Citizens must use all possible legal means to change the law if that is what they want. I personally believe that the immigration laws need to be changed. I would support letting every possible person have the chance to become an American, but I will never support breaking the law.

Justifying lawbreaking for expedience is wrong. Allowing law breaking to go unpunished is not fair or just. Every law must be equally pursued. And when our society sees that the law is unjust or outdated, then the law must be changed. Change must come from within or the system will degrade to chaos!

Why don't we have a problem with Canadians flooding across the border? Answer: High Standard of Living. Canada is number 3 to our 6. Mexico is around 100th. Could that be why Mexicans are flocking here? Another item: per capita income in the U.S. is $42,000; Mexico $10,100. So, if we want to stop the illegal immigration, we just have to increase Mexico's standard of living by about 400%.
