Liberals Be Proud!

The Republican Party, starting in the 1960's, began to use dirty tricks and any other means to take power and hold it. They are now the party of the rich and they use the religious right to maintain their majority. They will do or say anything to make the other side look bad. They have even made "liberal" a dirty word.

Liberal means not limited to or by established, traditional, orthodox, or authoritarian attitudes, views, or dogmas; free from bigotry. Favoring proposals for reform, open to new ideas for progress, and tolerant of the ideas and behavior of others; broad-minded.

Being Liberal is GOOD! And it is for the good of ALL people, not just the rich and their groupies (people who support policies for the rich because they think they might be rich someday; fools, slaves to greed and selfishness!)

Civil Rights, Social Security, The Middle Class, Worker Protection, Progressive Tax Rates, Funding for Public Schools, Public Works and Transportation, Food Safety, Pollution Protection, National Parks, Automobile Safety, and much more are all Liberal policies. None would exist if Conservatives had their way.

Conservative used to mean tending to conserve; preservative: the conservative use of natural resources. But it has become favoring traditional views and values; tending to oppose change; imposing Christian moral values; supporting the upper class and their financial dominance over the lower classes.

Conservative is the dirty word! I am proud to be a Liberal!
